The new domes at the Capitol are a hit.
They’re big enough for people to comfortably sleep in and even bigger than a large tent for an event.
And the tents are making the Capitol a more inviting place for the public to come and visit.
A year after President Donald Trump signed an executive order to modernize the federal government’s Capitol dome, Capitol Police say that’s the case with the new tents that will soon make their debut in the nation’s capitol.
The new tents, tent seating, lighting and sound systems are designed to be more user-friendly and easy to set up.
The new designs are expected to be installed by next month, with the first tents expected to open to the public for public tours in the fall.
“We think it’s going to be a big hit,” said Police Chief Paul Pirotte, who oversaw the redesign of the Capitol dome.

(The Washington Post)A Capitol Police official said that with the change in designs and the introduction of the new, larger tents, the new dome is one of the most popular tents at the capitol so far this year.
“I think it has been a great success,” said Chief Piroyte, the first of the two officers who oversees the new Capitol domes.
The tents were first introduced at the end of September to promote the use of public spaces as open space, but the department was not initially aware that they were making a splash with their popularity, according to a Capitol Police spokesman.
After seeing the success of the dome tents at last year’s Women’s March, the department asked to have them installed in the Capitol for the March 4 Women’s Empowerment Day event.
The department installed them in the Senate chamber last week, after the Capitol Police had installed the domes for the Capitol events.
Pirotter said that because of the change of designs and size of the tents, they have already been used at a number of other events, including the Capitol’s annual Christmas Day celebration and a congressional baseball game.
He also said that since the new design has made it easier to set the tents up, it has also been used more often.
The first domes opened to the general public in October.
It was the second time that the new tent design was used for a major Capitol event.
In January, the Senate approved a new tent to replace the previous domes in the chamber, which were in a state of disrepair and were often used for political events.
Piroytte said that he expects to be able to put more of the older domes to work for the new one.
“We’ll be able use them at some events and also the next ones that come in,” he said.
When asked if the new designs were a big success so far, Pirote said he didn’t think so.
“No,” he replied.
But that doesn’t mean he thinks the new and improved designs will be a huge hit with the public.
“As a public safety officer, I have to tell you that if it’s the first thing that comes to mind, I can’t help it,” he told the Post.
“The only thing that’s really changed, I’d say, is the quality of the design.
It’s a little more robust.
And the lighting is a little brighter.
But I can say the lighting and lighting is great.”
The new designs will have their first public appearance at the State of the Union address on Tuesday.
