Camping companies across the country are reporting a boom in tent camping season for the fourth consecutive year, as companies continue to grow and expand.
A report from the Outdoor Industries Association found that tent camping companies reported a $1.8 billion annual increase in the amount of revenue generated in 2017.
The Outdoor Industry Association reported a 7.9 percent jump in tent company revenues in 2017, which it attributed to a 3.3 percent jump across the board.
In total, tent camping revenue rose 8.4 percent, according to the report.
A 7.4-percent increase in tent sales in 2018 is expected, according the report, which adds that the growth is likely to be even higher this year.
